Random ramblings from a guy who's enjoying the ride...my thoughts on what God's been teaching me lately...who know what might all show up here...I guess it's a place for me to keep a slightly more public version of my daily journaling. Friday Came Back!

It's here again! Yippeeee! This time I'm almost dreading the weekend though...it's gonna be the busiest one I've had in a long time. This evening I'm taking my buddy Josh to Winnipeg to catch a bus for Ontario at 10:30. Then tomorrow morning, bright and early at 8:00, I'm doing bike tech support for Head For The Hills (a fundraising mountain bike ride through the Pembina Valley). Saturday afternoon we're having a practice with the 'almost' origional worship team. I'm really pumped about this, 'cause it's been a long time since we've played together. Stacey and Keith are coming out to sing and play bass, and Nat's coming back to play some screaming electrophonic guitar. Then we're having a big ol' Thiessen gathering at my parents place, and then somewhere after that Bruce is having a birthday party at his place. Here's the part where you guys all come in: Sunday evening @ 7:00 we're having an evening of praise and worship at the church. And you're all invited! Doesn't that just make you feel extra special? For those of you who haven't been to my church b4, it's at 159 3rd Street South in Winkler. Let me know if you need directions! Hey, why don't all you BCBCers get a big ol' school bus and bring it on down to Winkler town? That'd be really cool! Anywhoos, I must go now...the weekend is about to start! Later,

Lyric Of The Day

Broken Smile by Common Children. From the album 'Skywire':
Remember the hidden treasures / that we find in our lives / like all of our favorite flowers / beauty lives and it dies // We wait for what this life will bring / we hope to find what we really need / lives get broken, left just hoping / within us all freedom wants to sing / we want to sing // We look at the sun that's shining / but we don't feel The Light / and we cry, we cry, we cry for the answer / to dry our tears inside // Can the truth refine and free the soul / when the hurt you have is all you know / through endless searching and nights of wondering / some said, "just let it go"

I wish there was a way to post audio clips on this site, 'cause like any song, the music adds so much feeling to the lyrics.
Don't take anything for granted. Seize the day.

Prayer Request

Hey guys,
Yesterday my friends Holly and Nick's dad passed away very suddenly. They don't even know why he died yet. They just got back from bringing Holly to school in BC. Saturday night he went to the hospital feeling sick, and Sunday morning he passed away. Please pray.
