Today
Boy, I like coming up with titles for these posts about as much as I like coming up with subject lines for emails or drinking sour milk.
I need a hair cut. Is that one word? 'Cause as two words it looks like I need only one hair cut. Which scares me 'cause I've noticed as of late that things are starting to look a tad thin up front. The front lines are retreating! Maybe I should let it grow so it gives a comb-over sort of effect. If only I could grow some sexy wavy hair, or a nice afro. Nope, deathly straight is all I get. Couldn't even cut a good mullet. Oh well. I wonder if anyone has had the same style of haircut for their entire life? That would be crazy. I'm well on my way...I think I had my first brush cut in the spring of my grade 9 year...let's see...that would have been spring of '96...that's almost ten years! Hokee dina! Okay, enough about the hair.
So my Heatha bought Napoleon Dynamite for me today. What a ridiculously stupid movie. Yesss!
So I'm trying to think of some good places for a vacation this year. I want to go on a backpacking trip somewhere. I saw this awesome site for two week guided trips in the NWT, but they're crazy expensive...the cheapest one was $2400. It looked totally beautiful though...mountains, rivers, lakes, trees, tundra, amazingly huge skies. Yup.
"Wish I could freeze this feeling / photograph this state of mind"
The music is going, and I'll be singing along as I write this stuff, without really thinking about what I'm singing, but every time this song comes on, that line sticks out like crazy. It a great song, and I just love that line. Somebody's gotta invent a state-of-mind-camera. I bet it'd be really expensive though. I might need a part time job.
Anywhoos. Today was really cold. Somebody told me I should check myself in and have my head examined...just 'cause I ride my bike in this deep freeze. I keep telling every one that it's actually warmer than walking to and from your car, or sitting in a cold car, but no one believes me. Given you need the right clothes, but we're not talking anything fancy. And you need a decent bike, but again, nothing fancy. And it FEELS so much better. I love Mr. Lumgair's sign at Shannon Dale "fresh air is heath care" "help your self". How awesome is that?
Alas, I have become fatigued once again and shall retire to my bedroom. Hope you all have a wonderful night...or day. Cya.

Hey - Backpacking trip - http://www.nps.gov/thro/tr_mdh.htm
Check it out. It beat us once after 50 miles, but next time we know what we are up against. 100 miles of badlands. It's only an 8 hour drive and there is a guy who will drive you to the other trail head. Great photo ops.
