Random ramblings from a guy who's enjoying the ride...my thoughts on what God's been teaching me lately...who know what might all show up here...I guess it's a place for me to keep a slightly more public version of my daily journaling. My apologies

Hey, I know there are a few of you out there with too much time ;) who actually check this thing daily, and I apologize for not posting very regularly as of late. I guess I haven't done anything extraordinary since saturday that was worth posting. Not to say good times haven't been had.

C&C got together at my place sunday night, and we had a blast. Actually, before that, Liane, Justin, and Sharlyn came over for supper. It was kind of fun to have people over for a meal at my own place. Liane helped me with the making of the meal, so things ended up being quite edible actually :)

Monday I had the day, but really didn't do a whole lot. Actually spent a good bit of time at the Co-ops checking out a home theatre system. There's this nice little Onkyo system I'd like to get...1000 watts of nice clean 6.1 audio...the only problem is they didn't have a black unit in stock.

Heather came over monday afternoon to show me how to make Kiele (don't ask me how that's pronounced...it's a tricky one for me :) She's really good at it, and it's one of my favorite meals, so now maybe I can make it for myself.

Monday night Heinrich came over after worship team practice, and we played guitar for a while. It was really fun. We should do it more often, but finding time always seems to be the battle :) I really miss having Nat as a room mate here...not that we jammed too terribly often, but it was good.

Tonight Liane came over. We were going to watch this movie which I'm not sure what it's called in english, but the beginning of it was battle scenes from Vietnam. Guess I'm not much of a war movie lover, but tonight I really didn't feel like it, so we ended up watching Napoleon Dynamite instead. That is one HILARIOUS movie. I have literally never laughed so much during a movie. Every single scene was seriously funny, and there were numerous times when I nearly fell off of the couch, and my cheeks hurt so bad from laughing all the time. Definitely gonna buy that one.

So I guess I had more to write about than I thought...just nothing terribly exciting for you the viewer. But hey, at least those of you I don't see very often know what's goin' on with me.

Now, what I really wanted to post today was Psalm 139. I was reading it at work on my lunch break today, and boy is that a good one. If you ever need to know that somebody loves you, knows you, cares about you...that's the one to read. Check it out:

"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tonue you know it completely, O Lord.
You hem me in - behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from you Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there, if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious concerning me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
Where I to count them, the would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you. "

Hey Warren
I haven't posted in a really long time either. It seems really hard to get on the computer for any length of time since my dad came home. Soon I'll have internet in my own room. You'd be surprised how interesting your blog is. Everyday life is fun to read about.
