Random ramblings from a guy who's enjoying the ride...my thoughts on what God's been teaching me lately...who know what might all show up here...I guess it's a place for me to keep a slightly more public version of my daily journaling. Lyric of the Day/Verse of the Day

Today's lyric of the day comes to us from our good friends in Common Children.
It's the title track from the CD "Entertaining Angels"

"It's getting late in the evening (and I really don't mind at all)/
And I'm grateful one more time
Wish I could freeze this feeling (before the stars burn out and fall)
Photograph this state of mind

Sometimes I know
We're entertaining angels
In all the letting go

We're entertaining angels

The world has almost turned now (and I really don't mind at all)
The first glimpse of morning light
Raise my hands to the sky now (before the stars burn out and fall)
Throw the past out with the night

Sometimes I know
We're entertaining angels
In all the letting go
We're entertaining angels
Sometimes I know (The stars will come out this evening)
We're entertaining angels (Let go of the fear inside)
In all the letting go (This love is the only reason)
We're entertaining angels (Raise your hands to the sky)
Entertaining angels (Raise your hands to the sky)
Entertaining angels"

I had photography on the brain again today, so this song has been in my head all day. The line "photograph this state of mind" just gets me every time. I love the way Marc Byrd writes with such poetic style. I wish I could put audio clips on this site, but alas, I cannot. This is a great song about forgetting about the past and just enjoying the moment. Some friends and I were talking about this the other day. It seems that some people have a much easier time letting go of pain from the past than others. I know God is more than willing to help us get over these things by his grace...if we let Him. Ephesians 4:26: "In your anger do not sin! Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold."
