Memories of Granola
The other day I was at my parents place, and we had ice cream with granola. Now normally just having ice cream is enough to get my senses juiced up, but the granola brought back some good memories. When I was oh so much younger, we always had ice cream with granola, but somewhere along the line we stopped with the granola, and I bet I haven't had it for ten years. It was every bit as good as I remember it. So on wednesday I bought some granola just for me. And today I ran out of ice cream. As Homer would say, DOH!
So I haven't posted for a few days again. Been somewhat busy, somewhat lazy, somewhat 'nothing interesting worth posting". I still need to do my taxes. My refund keeps shrinking every year. I must make too much money. Yeah, that's it ;) Just kidding, my bosses are good to me.
So I got a bunch of pictures in the mail today...wow am I excited...been waiting two weeks for these ones. Some small ones, some BIG ones. A 16X20, two 20X30's, and another 20X30 that I can hopefully sell to the guys at Co-op. I can't wait to put 'em up on the wall, but first I have to bring them to Nikel Photography in Morden to get them drymounted and laminated. Hopefully that doesn't take too long. They're not new pictures, but I had a 30% off coupon for Ofoto that I had to use up by March 1, so I did what I could.
I'm gonna have to get myself some toys. Went to Liane's place for supper tonight. Noah and Lea are staying there for the night, so I was playing with them in the basement. They've got the sweetest set of cowboys and indian figures that must be like 20 years old. So much fun. And I keep getting these strange urges to take pictures of toys. Like lego, or other stuff...stuff that you can tell a story with. Must have started with Heinrich's lego photography job. But I have not any toys no more. (how's that for some sweet english?) Must be late. Oh look, it is. 11:35 to be exact. Guess that's still early compared to the rest of the week.
So what's up with the weather? Can't remember, did March come in like a lion or a lamb? Whatever, I'm ready for a little bit of spring. And summer. And fall for that matter.
Today my friend Jeremy posted the lyrics to "Stumble After You" on his blog. He heard the song when Stacey and I sang it at camp this summer. The stuff he wrote about it is pretty cool...check it out here If you want the song, I can send it to you (the band posted it for free on their site, but they are no longer a band), and Stacey and I also recorded a version of it.
Anywhoos, hope you all have a wonderful night. Hey, almost forgot! Liane has a blog now! Check it out here It's auf Deutch, but she's got some pictures of her new rooms that you can view in English. I just took a look at it to see if I got the link right, and it appears that I have made it on to the blog, along with my buddy Kian. It also appears that Liane must still be awake, and working on her blog because there's another new pic there that wasn't there two minutes ago. "HEY LIANE! I tried posting a comment on your blog but for some reason the comment thing isn't working."
Ok. Gotta go. Bubye

Hey Warren, My dad always used to make oatmeal and put granola with raisins on it. I loved that stuff! I should buy some sometime and relive the memories too. ttfn
